UTOPIA – PHASE THREE
| Launched in February 2007, this small stretch (about 11 acres) within the same boundary at the southern side, adjacent to the lake, will cater to the demand we are seeing on the project. Consisting of 15 Villas around the Golf Driving Range and about 30 plots in various sizes, viz. 3200, 3500, 4000, & 5000 sqft. Tis will probably be the cosiest part of Utopia!. GOLF DRIVING RANGE
To be located right at the bottom of Utopia towards the lake, the Golf Driving Range and Putting Green will be a part of the III Phase of Utopia. A large well is being created in this area to harvest rainwater and use it to maintain the range and greens. 15 Villas will overlook this large, tree-lined stretch. We expect that many Utopians will pick up the game here and those who are already Golfers will be able to improve their Driving, Pitching and Putting skills to work towards a lower handicap!
THE SPA
The ‘should-we-have or should-we-not-have’ debate rages on but this work could well be taken up towards the end of 2007 and would be an integral part of Olde Bangalore, right next to the Gym to complete the Fitness Centre concept! The Change Rooms and Lockers would be the same used by the Gym!
15 – SUITE HOTEL
A 100 metres down the road from Olde Bangalore. It can accommodate upto 30 people, twin-sharing. Getting off the drawing boards in March 2007, we are hopeful of having this little place up and running by October.
30 – SUITE HOTEL
To be taken up after exploring the possibility of getting necessary clearances, this will in all likelihood be situated right next to the swimming pool. The road leading to this spot has already been laid. This hotel will mainly cater to our corporate clients using Olde Bangalore as a venue for their residential training programmes. The hotel could house upto 55 people on a twin-sharing basis and would include 2, 6-bedded luxury dorms.
AMPHITHEATRE
Construction of the Amphitheatre will be taken up along with the hotel and will be a wonderful venue for screening old films or staging plays over the week-end. With its own pantry, this will also be an alternate venue for open air partying. One can almost imagine lounging under a star-studded sky, a glass of beer or wine at hand and watching The Tarlton Twins making asses of themselves in order to win Scarlett O’Hara’s affections in the opening scene from ‘Gone With The Wind’!
BARBEQUE RESTAURANT
To be set up on the roof-top on cloudless nights once “BY TWO” and “SOUTH PARADE” have stabilized, this will have one of the most dazzling views with the merrily lit Utopia and the Lake to the South and the numerous other projects and the silhouette of Nandi Hills to the North! The restaurant will have a number of barbecue tables where small groups can barbecue the marinated meats or vegetables they have bought at the counter. Of course, when they have finally burnt it all, they can come and buy the finished product from our Barbeque Chef again!
LAUNDRETTE
A mechanized laundry will be set up on the project in order to cater to the needs of the residents and the hotel at Olde Bangalore. Feasibility studies are on at the moment!
IN-HOUSE MAINTENANCE TEAM
This decision is to be taken by the committee formed by the residents in May 2007. As soon as residents decide to have a maintenance team to look after the Preventive as well as Break-down maintenance needs of the community, the team will be housed at the southern tip of the property which has been assigned as the civic amenity area!
GREENING DRIVE
The planting of about 500 locally compatible trees is our target for 2007 and should begin just before the monsoons!
